If anyone is listening, Hello!
My name is Lindsey. I am almost 26 years old, I graduate with a pharmacy degree in May, I have a cute kitty named Penny, a wonderful family, supportive friends, and I recently got engaged to the Love of my life, Luke.
On January 18th, 2018, Luke was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
When I got that phone call my world just shattered. Luke and I have been long distance for four and a half years (he is currently in Canada), just got engaged on Christmas, and had plans to finally move in together soon. To say this diagnosis has been hard to handle is an understatement.
Since diagnosis, Luke has been incredibly positive. I am so amazed by his strength. He began his induction treatment a week and a half ago and the goal of induction is to induce remission. His prognosis is good. I will be going up to help take care of him in less than 3 weeks.
I want to keep this post short, but I felt I needed an outlet to talk about my experience. It has been hard for me to process all these emotions while I am so far away from my love, but I hope this will help me to gain strength.
To anyone who listened, thank you ❤
