Luke was discharged from the hospital yesterday so he can recover from treatment in the comfort of his own home. I’m glad his doctors find him stable enough for this, because being home will do wonders for him. He has this amazing family who has been so incredibly supportive of both of us. It truly warms my heart. I feel so fortunate that my future in-laws… my future family… is this incredible group of people who rally together when times are tough.
I can’t put into words how thankful I am for everyone in our lives who is thinking of us, praying, helping make our lives easier, reaches out to check in on us, and genuinely cares.
Two weeks ago my friend flew down to surprise me for a day. It meant so much to me and truly helped get me through the rest of my rotation. We got to explore some of D.C., eat good food, and did a lot of walking. It was so nice just to be able to hug someone and forget about reality for a moment. I cannot thank her enough for all she has done to get me through this.
There are times when I am frustrated and angry about everything going on. I need to learn to always appreciate the good around me and take all the support we are getting. Thank you to everyone out there who is supporting us.

Beautiful. Sending thoughts and prayers your way each and every moment from Calgary. ❤️❤️
