Good Days

With cancer, you take everything day by day. Some days are good and others are bad. Luke has had his (un)fair share of bad days. Despite this, a few days ago he was deemed well enough to be discharged so that he could recover on his own at home. The first twenty-four hours at home it seemed like he was still sick and having a hard time.

The last two days he has seemed to be doing so much better. He is in good spirits, eating (and keeping it down), enjoying the Olympics, smiling, and he put on a pound! He had follow-up blood work today that came back good, which means that his body is handling the chemo okay.

It warms my heart to see him have these good days. It’s hard to not be with him and help him, but these good days help me worry a little bit less. Keeping the positive thoughts, prayers, and good vibes going.

Here is a flashback to one of my favorite days in one of our happiest places (the beach)
