Today has been odd. I woke up feeling pretty good aside from being a bit dehydrated. No headache, no pain, just a bit tired. Breakfast was quite yummy and afterwards I did some walking in the hall for about a km.
In preparation for my methotrexate tonight they have switched my fluids over to sodium bicarb and are monitoring my urine output to make sure it is a certain pH. Around 6 pm I’ll be getting my chemo.
I have grown more tired as the day has gone on though. My appetite was pretty low for lunch and I’ve developed some nausea and body aches. I’m doing my best to stay positive but I’m definitely starting to feel a bit run down mentally and physically.
I’m going to keep this short because I want to try and rest a bit more before dinner. Maybe I’ll get some of my appetite back so I can feel a bit better. It’s amazing how quickly a day can go from feeling good to just feeling like a piece of chewed up gum.
Love, LB
