Ingredients for Meatloaf
- Ground beef (or turkey) – about 1 pound
- Bread – 1 slice per 1/2 pound of meat
- Egg – 1 per pound of meat
- Vegetable or onion dry soup packet
- Chili sauce ~ 2 tbsp
- Other spices as desired
- Onion powder
- Oregano
Ingredients for Sauce
- Chili Sauce ~ 1 bottle
- Brown Sugar ~ 1/2 cup
- Mustard 1 squirt
Instructions for Meatloaf
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In large bowl, combine beef, egg cubed bread, soup packet (dry), and spices/chili sauce
- Mix well with hands, then form into a loaf
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes, remove and cover in the sauce.
- Place meatloaf back in the oven for about 15 minutes (cooking time varies based on oven temp and loaf size)
- Cook to an internal temp of 165 degrees F
Sauce Instructions
- Combine the bottle of chili sauce with the brown sugar and squirt of mustard
- Heat in microwave (or on stove) for about 15 seconds before covering the meatloaf.
- Serve extra sauce on the side
